Creating and Editing Your Nurturing Automations

Learn how to access, edit, and customise email templates in DenGro's Email Editor, including images, buttons, merge tags, and more.

Access Requirements

To access the Email Editor, ensure:

  • Your account is on the Pro Payment Plan

  • You have Editor permissions

If you're unsure, please contact your account subscriber or email support@dengro.com.

How to Access the Email Editor

  1. Go to Practice Settings (⚙️ icon in the top right of the Today page).

  2. Select Practice Messages.

  3. You’ll see both Default and Custom messaging sequences listed.

Creating a New Custom Sequence

  • Click Create A New Message Sequence

  • Choose a template to copy

  • Name your new sequence

Editing an Existing Custom Sequence

  1. Click View next to the sequence

  2. On the Sequence Details page, find the message you want to edit

  3. Click the three horizontal dots next to the email and select Edit

Using the Email Editor

In the Email Editor, you can:

  • Edit text, images, and footer content

  • Rearrange design blocks

  • Customise layout and formatting

To modify a section:

  • Click on the element in the template

  • Use the Edit Panel on the right to customise it

Template Elements You Can Edit

🧱 Blocks

  • Structural sections of the email

  • Can be added, moved, copied, or deleted

  • Example: A row just for the headline

📐 Columns

  • Layout inside each row

  • Arrange content side-by-side

  • Example: A row with three images in three columns

📄 Body

  • Content inside blocks or columns

  • Includes text, images, buttons, etc.

  • Example: Footer info like opening hours and social links

🔖 Merge Tags

Merge tags personalise your emails by inserting lead or treatment data.

Examples:

  • {{FirstName}} to greet leads by name

  • {{Treatment}} to mention their interest directly

This helps reduce the number of templates needed while keeping content relevant.

📏 Padding

  • Adds spacing around blocks or elements

  • Improves readability and mobile responsiveness

Additional Editing Features

Editing the Subject Line

  • Use the left panel in the editor

  • Add merge tags like {{FirstName}} to personalise

Adding Buttons

  • Click on a row/column

  • Add a Button from the content options

  • Customise text, colour, size, padding, and add a URL

Managing Images

Uploading Your Own Images

  1. Select an email and open the Email Editor

  2. Click the image you want to change

  3. Use the Upload Image button in the edit panel

Editing Image Size

  • Click the image

  • Select Apply Effects & More to resize or crop

Using Stock Images

  • Open the edit panel menu

  • Click Images to browse DenGro’s free stock library

Image Links

To make images clickable:

  1. Click the image

  2. In the ACTION section of the panel, enter your URL

Tip: This is useful for linking to your website from your logo or header image.


Managing Social Media Icons

Icons in your email footer link to platforms listed in your Practice Details.

  • If you haven’t added a link (e.g. TikTok), the icon won’t appear.

  • To remove unused icons, ensure no URL is set in the Practice Details page.
