For every lead added to your DenGro account—whether automatically or manually—a consent shield will be displayed.

  • The consent shield appears on every lead’s profile page

  • It also shows in the task summary for new leads on your Today page

📋 What Does the Consent Shield Indicate?

The consent shield shows what type of consent has been captured for that lead.

✅ How Is Consent Usually Captured?

Consent may be collected through:

  • Lead completes an online enquiry or contact form on your website or landing page

  • Lead responds to ads on Facebook or Instagram and shares contact details

  • Lead interacts with your practice’s live chat or chatbot

  • Consent obtained in person at your practice

  • Consent obtained over the phone

💡 You should capture consent whenever a lead enquires about treatment and wants to be contacted for more info or booking.

⚖️ GDPR Legal Bases Captured by DenGro

DenGro tracks two legal bases under GDPR:

  1. Legitimate Interest
You have consent to contact and discuss the specific dental treatment the lead is interested in.

  2. (Marketing) Consent
You have consent to send emails and SMS promoting other treatments or services.

🟡 Consent Shield Colours & Meaning

The shield will display in one of four colours, based on the consent captured:

Colour

Meaning

🟡 Yellow

Legitimate Interest has been captured

🟢 Green

Both Legitimate Interest AND Marketing Consent captured

🟢 & 🔴 Green & Red

Either Legitimate Interest OR Marketing Consent captured, but not both

🔴 Red

Neither Legitimate Interest nor Marketing Consent captured

ℹ️ Hover over the shield to see a tooltip explaining what consent is recorded.

✍️ Updating Consent

You can update the consent details at any time by clicking the consent shield badge.
