✅ Add funds to your Inbox balance

Please ensure that your DenGro Inbox has had a payment card and funds added to your balance first.

➡️ If that’s already done—you can skip right to the next step!

WhatsApp Messaging Costs:

📄Template messages – Prices are listed on your Inbox Billing page. Template messages are used to start a new chat with a lead or to re-open an expired chat window.

💬Active chat window – Once a lead replies to your templated message, you can chat 1-to-1 with them for free for the next 24 hours.

🔄Re-initiating a chat – If the lead does not respond during the 24-hour window you’ll need to send another templated message to reinitiate the chat.

🔧 Enable WhatsApp as a channel

⚠️ Important: This feature is currently in beta, please contact support@dengro.com or via our live chat to request early access.

Once your Inbox has funds, scroll down on the Inbox Billing page to Inbox Settings and select 'Enable' under the WhatsApp column.

📲 WhatsApp Business Onboarding

After clicking 'Enable', you’ll be taken to the Integrations page to complete the WhatsApp Business onboarding steps.

This short process will only need to be done once. Please allow a few minutes to complete the onboarding as it will involve DenGro purchasing a dedicated virtual number for you. This number will be used to communicate with your leads via WhatsApp.

⚠️ Important: The person completing the onboarding process must have a page admin role on the Meta account to ensure you don't run into permission issues when connecting your account with DenGro.

1️⃣Step 1 - Provide your mobile number

During onboarding 📞 you will receive an automated call containing a verification code.

You will need to provide a phone number you would like to receive this call on, or if a phone number is already linked to your DenGro profile, it will be displayed for you.

If a number is displayed you can update it to a different mobile number if you prefer.

Please ensure you are available to answer a call to the mobile number you provide to complete onboarding.

Please ensure you are available to answer a call to the mobile number you provide to complete onboarding.

The mobile number you provide is for verification purposes only - it will not be used for WhatsApp billing or messaging.

2️⃣Step 2 - Purchase Number

The virtual phone number DenGro will be purchasing for you will be displayed on screen.

📋Click the copy icon to copy this number to your clipboard — you’ll need it later in the onboarding process.

If you purchased a WhatsApp number through DenGro in the last 30 days, you can click Restore to reuse that number instead of purchasing a new one.

3️⃣Step 3 - Onboard

Your Meta account will now be linked to the dedicated virtual number DenGro will be purchasing for you.

Don't forget to make sure you’ve copied the phone number from Step 2.

▶️ Press 'Start Onboarding'.

This will open up a new window which is where you will be prompted to connect your Meta account.

Press 'Continue with Meta'.

Make sure you’re logged in to the correct Meta account before continuing.

  • If you need to switch accounts, you can do so from the modal window.

  • Once you’re logged in with the correct account, click Continue.

Now press 'Get Started'.

If you’re a page admin for more than one business account, make sure you select the correct page from the Business Portfolio dropdown before proceeding.

Once selected press 'Next'.

You will now be prompted to 'Create or Select Your WhatsApp Business Account'

🏷️Please ensure from the question of 'Choose a WhatsApp Business Account' you select 'Create a WhatsApp Business Account' and then press 'Next'.

Select 'Create a WhatsApp Business Account' even if you have a WhatsApp Business account already as this will be a separate one with its own dedicated virtual number.

Do not choose your existing account as you will not be able to complete onboarding.

If you don't have an existing WhatsApp Business account you will only have the option to create one.

WhatsApp Business Name - Name this after your practice.

Display Name – Confirm your WhatsApp Business Display Name so leads can clearly see who is messaging them. This should match your business name.

Business Category – Select the category that best describes your business.
Once both are set, click Next to continue.

📲Now it’s time to add the dedicated virtual mobile number purchased for you by DenGro (from Step 2).

  1. Select Add a new number.

  2. Paste the number you copied from Step 2 into the box provided.

  3. Choose Phone Call as the verification method, then click Next.

Do not select Text as this method is not supported. If you select Text by mistake, you can change the verification method in the next step to re-request the code via phone call.

You will now receive a phone call with a 6-digit verification code sent to the mobile number you entered in Step 1.

Enter the code into the box shown, then click Next to continue.

The final confirmation screen will display the access you’re granting to Meta and DenGro, along with the accounts you’ve selected.

If everything is correct, click Continue to connect your account.

Once connected the success message will appear like this, please press 'Finish'.

Your new WhatsApp number will now register — this process can take up to 120 seconds.

Once registration is complete, you’ll see the final Thank You page confirming setup is finished.

4️⃣ Step 4 - Enter Template Namespace

📝 The final step in onboarding is to add your Template Namespace.

  1. In your Meta Business Manager account, go to WhatsApp Manager.

  2. Click Message Templates, then click Namespace to view your namespace ID.

  3. Enter this ID into the box shown in DenGro, then click Save and Enable.

Tip: If you’re not sure where to find your Template Namespace, see Step 4 for our interactive image showing exactly where to look in WhatsApp Manager.

🎉That's onboarding complete!

Click the green button to head straight to your DenGro Inbox to start sending messages via WhatsApp.

If you ever need to remove the integration, you can do so using the Remove Integration button shown.
