What does the 'Facebook authorisation token has expired' warning mean?

From time to time you may need to reconnect your Meta account and DenGro.

To continue using DenGro’s integration with Facebook (Meta), you need to keep your Facebook token up to date.

Facebook tokens occasionally expire for security reasons or if you have been making updates to the page admins, and when this happens, DenGro can no longer access your Facebook data — such as lead ads — until the connection is refreshed.

Follow the steps below to refresh your Facebook token and restore the integration.

Please note this can only be actioned by the person who enabled the integration initially, their name and email address will be shown on the warning task on your Today page.

Step by Step Instructions:

1. Go to the Integrations page in DenGro

  • In the main navigation, go to Settings.

  • Select Integrations from the dropdown.

  • Click on the Facebook/Instagram (Meta) integration panel.

2. Log into Meta and Check Token status

  • Press the 'Log Into Meta' button and add your credentials for Meta to log in.

  • Next to the practice name you will see a prompt saying"Refresh Token", see image below.

  • If you have access to multiple pages ensure you scroll down to the relevant practice and then the button to refresh will be shown.

  • Press Refresh Token.

3. Confirmation

  • Once you've successfully refreshed, you'll see a confirmation message in DenGro stating that the Facebook token has been refreshed and the warning task on the Today page will disappear.

  • Your Facebook lead ads should now sync correctly with DenGro again.
