When someone fills in a form or contacts you and becomes a lead in DenGro, it will try to figure out how they found your practice online. This helps you understand which marketing activities are actually bringing in treatment enquiries. 🔍

DenGro does this automatically by looking at the small bits of tracking information that are passed to the CRM each time someone submits an enquiry form or responds to an ad on social media and shares their contact details. 💬📩

The Types of Lead Sources You’ll See in DenGro 🌱

Here’s what the different lead sources mean, in simple terms:

Paid Search 💰🔎

This means the person clicked on a paid advert on a search engine, such as Google, before becoming a lead.

Paid Social 📱💵

This means the person clicked on a paid advert on social media, such as Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok.

Other Online Advertising 🌐📣

This covers paid adverts that aren’t clearly from Google search or social media, but are still online ads.

Organic Search 🌿🔍

This means the person found you naturally through a search engine, without clicking a paid advert.

Social 🤝📲

This means the person came from social media without clicking a paid advert — for example, from a regular post or profile link.

Referred by Another Practice 🏥➡️🏥

This means the person came to you by clicking a link on another business’s website.

Direct

This usually means DenGro can’t see how the person arrived. Common reasons include:
• They typed your website address directly
• They clicked a saved bookmark
• Tracking information wasn’t available

Unavailable

This means some information was passed through, but it wasn’t clear enough to say exactly where they came from.

Why This Sometimes Isn’t Perfect ⚠️

DenGro can only work with the tracking information it receives. If a link or advert isn’t set up to pass the right details, the lead may show as Direct or Unavailable, even if it actually came from marketing activity.

This doesn’t mean DenGro is broken — it just means there wasn’t enough information to make a clear decision. 🔧🧩

What You Need to Know as a User 💡

You don’t need to set anything up yourself to see lead sources in DenGro.

Your marketing team or agency should make sure that tracking is in place whenever anyone shows interest in treatment at your practice by filling out a form. If you are seeing a lot of leads showing as Direct or Unavailable, please speak to your marketing manager/agency so they can address this.

Over time, this data helps you see which marketing channels are worth investing in. 📈✨
