Firstly, you’ll need to make sure that your account licence is registered on our Pro Plan and that you have Editor permissions on the account. If you’re not sure, contact your account subscriber or support@dengro.com.

From there, go to Settings (the cog symbol at the top right of the Today page) and select Nurturing Automations.

Here, you’ll see a list of all the messaging sequences sent by DenGro, both the Default and the Custom sequences. Default messages are the ones that DenGro has created for you, Custom ones are any you have created yourself.

To make any changes to the content in a default sequence you must 'CREATE A NEW MESSAGE SEQUENCE' so you have a new Custom sequence that suits your practice.

To do this click on the Create New Messaging Sequence button at the top of the page and follow the prompts to select an existing template to copy and then name your sequence.


You will then have a Custom sequence that you can edit as needed, including adding in your own messages (max 5 email and 3 SMS in each status point).

I’ve copied and created my new sequence – now what?

Now it’s time to get creative! Click on the ellipses menu (the 3 horizontal dots) to the right of the new sequence you’ve just created and choose to Edit the sequence. Then, from the sequence details page, view each of the messages (email and SMS) in the sequence, editing the various aspects of each one:

  • The deployment schedule

  • The content of the SMS

  • The design and content of the emails

  • The status of each message

  • The treatments the sequence is associated with

Can I copy one email instead of a whole sequence?

At the moment, this is not possible. However, DenGro’s Email Editor will help you make fast work of that new email creation.

My practice is part of a group, once my custom sequence is created can I replicate it for my other practices?

Yes! Once you have created your custom sequence you can then replicate it to use it in other practices in your group. Just press the three dots and then ‘Replicate’ and you will be prompted to confirm which practice in your group you would also like it to be used on. Once its replicated it will then inherit the practice contact details/ location map for the practice you have replicated it on- super easy!

What happens if I ever choose to downgrade back to the Growth Plan?

In the future, if you ever choose to downgrade your licence then your access to the message editor will be removed and the sequences sent to your leads will revert to the default sequences managed by DenGro.

Your customised sequences won’t be deleted, but they won’t be available to use unless you remain on the Growth Plan.​

How do I edit a custom sequence?

To edit an existing Custom sequence, click to View the sequence and make the changes you need.
